WeReward

Any of you hop onto the WeReward bandwagon and hoping to make some sort of income off of it?  Well, my personal opinion about it is that you're better off getting a part time job, looking for coupons, or doing file hosting than trying to earn points through WeReward.

According to the program, you need an iPhone or Android phone capable of taking pictures to start up.  Most of the tasks involve taking a picture of yourself with the item and you must have a clear shot of the logo.  This is fine and all but at 50 points on average per task, that's only 50 cents for the work (1 cent per point).  Ok this isn't too bad but then when you browse through each task, you realize the only way for you to ever get a hold of these items is if you had purchased them.

Some other tasks are nice that you get 250 points ($2.50) to finish the task but then on second thought, it could potentially cost $3 just to get the item.  A nice one that I see on my task list offers 750 points ($7.50) but I need to be a new customer to godaddy.  Ok, that's not too bad.  But what am I going to do with a new domain name?

Sure, you might think "Well this is like cash back" or "I'm saving some money in the process" but I must tell you that coupons, points, or cash back from a credit card is much better.  Why?  Because you know the cash back or the points are guaranteed.  Coupons equal an instant savings.  This WeReward program?  Not so much.  You have to get I believe at least 1000 points ($10.00) to cash out.  If you do mostly the 50 point tasks, that's 20 of those 50 point tasks you'd need to do before you can cash out that $10.00.   And of course you'd do the 50 point ones because they're easy and straightforward.  Again, what am I going to do with a domain name?  Besides, by the time I reach 1000 points, I would have probably spent close to $60 in various items just so I can take a picture of myself eating said-item with clear logo to prove I did the task right.  The likely scenario is that I might do 3-4 tasks then be completely turned off by the way the system works.
